A CHURCH DEDICATED TO THE WORD

Founded in 2020, the Assemblies of God – America Garden Church in Glasgow was established with a missionary heart and with the aim of being a spiritual family for this city. We are a church committed to making disciples, serving families and reaching out to nations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Being in Glasgow also means understanding the challenges of proclaiming the Gospel in a society marked by profound cultural and spiritual changes. Amidst the diversity of peoples, languages and backgrounds, we encounter individuals and families facing loneliness, the difficulties of immigration, separation from their roots, and the challenge of rebuilding their lives far from home.

It is in this context that we believe the Church must be present: welcoming, discipling, serving and proclaiming that there is still hope in Jesus Christ.

In March 2026, a new chapter began to be written in our history. Pastor Adilson Rodrigues took over as president of the church in the United Kingdom and, together with his whole family, left Brazil and moved to Glasgow, once again responding to the missionary call and embracing a new ministerial challenge.

Pastor Adilson Rodrigues brings with him a wealth of experience gained from first-hand knowledge of the mission field. As a pastor and missionary, he has dedicated part of his life to the service of the Kingdom of God, carrying out ministerial and pastoral work in countries such as Colombia, Venezuela, Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia and Peru.

Each nation, each people and each mission field has contributed to shaping a story marked by faith, self-sacrifice, learning and love for souls.

Now, Glasgow presents a new challenge.

A new culture. A new context. New families to welcome. New generations to disciple. And a city where there are still many lives that need to be reached by the message of the Gospel.

Together with his family and the local church, Pastor Adilson begins this new phase with the same conviction that has characterised his missionary journey: wherever God sends him, there is a mission to fulfil.

The Assembleia de Deus – America Garden Church in Glasgow continues to move forward, not only with the desire to grow as a church, but with the vision of becoming a missionary base in the United Kingdom, serving Glasgow, strengthening families and working together so that the Gospel may reach other cities and nations.

Our story is only just beginning.

From Glasgow to the nations.
